A House Divided By Fannie Mae Pledger-Pettway

24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.  25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.  Mark 3:24-25

We live in a world where unity is far from the minds and hearts of the people.  After all, the people cannot unite outside with others because there is no unity in the homes.  If the head which should be the father (if present in the home) or mother (if no father is present) must teach unity within the home first so that when the family goes outside of the home, they will know how to work with others.  This is one reason a house divided cannot stand if everyone is pulling in different directions!

Remember, if we are not united within our homes, we cannot unite in the body of Christ.  For example, when Euodia and Syntyche had a disagreement in the church, they were pressed to rectify their disagreement because of their role as leaders that help spread the Good News near and far.  If these two had not rectified the issue and realized that unity was more important than their disagreement, many people would have been delayed in knowing Who Christ is.  It’s important to be unified rather than divided because others are affected by what we do.

What we do behind closed doors will display when we open the doors.  Let’s strive daily to bring unity in our homes so that when we step outside of the home, true unity will not be hard to see.

God is calling for the head of the homes to unite the families because if not, we cannot unify His Kingdom.
