Restoration (The Power of the Cross) By Keisha Washington

Restoration is the action of returning something to a former owner, place, state, or condition.

Do you know God wants to restore you to your original state? When Adam and Eve began living in the Garden of Eden they had a life of peace and harmony and sin did not exist. That's the state or condition in which God wants us to return to. Restoration has always been a part of God's plan for his people. Luke 19:10 tells us that, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”  God has always been and forever will be the pursuer, seeker, and good Shepherd in search of His lost, wondering sheep. In order for true restoration to take place, after sin corrupted the world, God’s law had to be fulfilled. God’s law demanded that there is a petal for sin, which is death; but Jesus’ death on the cross fully satisfied the need for punishing sin.

Jesus took the punishment for our sins and gave us the gifts of salvation and forgiveness. Are you accepting salvation, you do know it's free, and are you asking forgiveness? The cross is the basis for our restoration and the price for restoration has been paid in full! All you have to do is seek God because He is waiting on you. He knows exactly what you need and how to do it, but you must to be willing to accept and ask.

Today, let the promise from God fill your heart, mind, and soul and watch your transformation begin. Count yourself dead to the person you used to be and live to be the person God is restoring you to be. Let the Holy Spirit do the work!!! Enjoy your week everyone!!!
