Do not say: “It was God’s doing that I fell away,” for what he hates he does not do. Do not say: “He himself has led me astray,” for he has no need of wicked. Abominable wickedness the Lord hates and he does not let it happen to those who fear him. God in the beginning created human beings and made them subject to their own free choice. If you choose, you can keep the commandments; loyalty is doing the will of God.
As a parent, friend, and teacher, I often want more for those around me than they want for themselves. God has that same want for all of us. He doesn’t want us unhappy about anything in our life, but we make choices that interfere with God’s will for us.
There was a time when I saw my students failure as my own failure. MISTAKE! I am not to blame for their failures. I also cannot take credit for their successes. My students successes and failures are their own. My job is to teach them well. I cannot do for them that they won't do for themselves. I can see all the possibilities for the people around me but cannot always help them to see the possibilities in themselves.
We have a choice we can choose to follow Gods plan or do what makes us feel good for the moment.
