Your Brokenness is Repairable By Sharon Foreman

This title alone, speaks volumes!  I was talking on the phone with a Sister in Christ and when she spoke of these words, I wrote them down and began to meditate on what these words meant; I realized they relate to many issues that lie in many people.  There are many issues that can cause us to be in a broken state, i.e., be it...pride, self-will, stubbornness, loss of a love one, a bad break-up, childhood issues, etc.

As I look back over my life, I found that..."people that are hurt, hurt other people", but what we need to know, is, when we are broken we can be repaired!  God says in (Psalm 147:3 MSG) "He heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds", and in order to be repaired, we have to believe what (Proverbs 3:5-6, MSG) states, "Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own.  Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He's the one who will keep you on track.

I know sometimes we feel as though no one understands our pain, but God does!  Remember, when you are in that broken place, God will meet you right there!  We have to learn to embrace our brokenness, and not let it take us out of the will of God.  Once we begin to understand God's purpose for our lives, then we will see that HIS grace is sufficient.  There are some things in our lives that need to be broken. We see  people and things with our natural eyes as useless; but with our spiritual eyes , God will take that which is broken and remake it into something better.  Broken things and people are the result of sin, and to show us how much He loves us; God sent his Son who was without sin to be broken, so we might be healed.  But only when we surrender to Christ is when we can be repaired and transformed.  Surrender to God and allow him to repair you.

This is a self-evaluation question, "what do I think God wants me to admit about myself" so that I can move forward in being repaired?

Let me leave you with this.....God can take broken pieces and make masterpieces!
