Letting Go By Samantha Kyles

Philippians 3:13-14, Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

To let go means to be released from a thing, person, place, etc., in other words, let it be!  To me, in order to let go, first you must pray.  Secondly, there has to be forgiveness.  Thirdly, you just have to let go.  Begin the practice of letting go by noticing the small ways in which you let attachment create unhappiness in your life.   Letting go often takes work on our part, and require each of us to do some deep soul searching about what’s true and what we’re actually attached to.

We can have an attachment so long until it begins to feel right.  Holding on to things that do not belong to us, will become dead weight whereas, we will carry pain that we shouldn’t have.  Give up little, little peace.  Give up a lot, a lot of peace.  Letting go gives us a peace like a river.  So choose today to let go!

Remember the trees in the fall shows us how easy it is to let go of dead things.  If they don’t let go they begin to die.  But when they let it all go in the spring they are refreshed and bloom beautifully.  Don’t carry over what doesn’t belong from one season to the next, it could be dangerous for you.  LET IT GO!

I love you all!
