In order to fulfill our ultimate intentions and stay in the flow of the Spirit, we have to be flexible. Being flexible in the spiritual realm means going with the flow to see where the pathway or where the Spirit might lead. Things are not always as they seem or appear to be. God wants us to make the best or most effective use of our efforts through our willingness and ability to make modifications. He will definitely give us the wisdom that we need to be able to do this. James 1:5 (KJV) "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." We should prepare to make some adjustments in our course of action. In order to serve in the capacity that God calls us to and with the power he provides we must change from our own ways and from using our own strength.
Refuse to allow unusual circumstances to dump you down into negative emotions. Take the time to get quiet and regain perspective. It is easy to get overwhelmed when you have to deal with things you do not fully understand. But, this is also an opportunity to do some much- needed internal work and also grow spiritually. The Roman soldier motto states, “You may bend me, but you will never break me.” In order to grow and to minister as Christians, we must bend, be flexible in order to survive. In reference to situations we go through, we must survive. In regards to the pressures of life, we have to adjust. In reference to the differences, we must adapt. Trust God to lead us through this. Psalm 61:2 (KJV) "From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
