Never Would Have Made It! By: Eemetric Postell

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses aide. Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them-to the Israelites. Joshua 1:1-2

When I got tasked with this assignment, I began to see what the Lord was saying to me on unity. Then I thought about the old song that mainly said, "U.N.I.T.Y,"  by The Crusaders and Queen Latifah, but I knew God would speak louder than that to His children, so I kept pondering. And then it hit me.... Never Would Have Made It.... not I never, just, never would have made it.

Moses did not make it to the promised land, but the ones that were suppose to, did. Before Moses died, the Lord spoke to him about his time of rest was coming soon to be with his ancestors. But Joshua was already instructed on his mission of what to do. Before I go on, let me clear some stuff up.... They were camped along the east bank of the Jordan River at the very edge of the promised land, and they are completing the mourning period for Moses, who had just died. God let them wander in the desert until the disobedient generation had all died.

How did I come up with Never Would Have Made It? Again, not Marvin Sapp, " I Never Would Have Made It,” but just- Never Would Had Made it. If Joshua would have not been ready to lead Gods chosen people, they all would have died. God seen enough in him to trust him and promise him that He would be with him on this mission. But Joshua walked close with Moses to get training for this new walk in his life.  In my closing, it took unity because Moses lead as far as he was instructed or God allowed him to go because he died 39 years earlier. But Joshua was ready to do the relationship he had with God and Moses. The trustworthy Joshua was courageous, and his consistent faith had him in position for making it over. Without him, they Never Would Have Made It!  Stay courageous and faithful so we can make it also!  Be blessed and stay warm and remember it takes unity to make it all the way!
