As I was riding down the road, I saw a billboard that said "advertise here." Of course, billboards are what companies use to "influence" consumers to buy their service or product, but as believers of Christ, what are we advertising?
Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law."
Are we advertising these fruits in our daily walk; remember, we are ambassadors for Christ! The company we work for expects us to offer exceptional customer service and "influence" as many customers (believers) to try our product (Christ).
Now the other company (flesh and satan) are the opposers. Galatians 5:17, 19-21 says, "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have. Also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."John 10:10 says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal kill and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
Now the opposer/competition talks a good game, but can never deliver the quality of the company of Christ! We may say we are working for Christ but the work we do and the life we live are our billboards that everyone sees daily. It does not matter how much you try to cover up who you work for, your actions speak louder than anything you can say. So what company do you work for?
Whatever we are advertising determines what company we are working for!
