Give it to Jesus By Keisha Washington
Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burdens upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
We know that everyone will experience trials and tribulations at some point in our life that may cause us to be in a bad place. We must learn that it is not the action that was done to us that makes us hurt, disappointed or angry, but it is how we handle the situation that rise against. If we allow Jesus to take control of the situation before it gets out of hand, then we will not have to endure all the hurt. We must sometimes just simply say “ Jesus take this I don’t want it anymore, I’m tired of it; and he will do just that and cover all the hurt and pain with his love and make us whole again.” In order for restoration to begin you got to “Give it to Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 (6) Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.(7) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
This verse tells us that when we give it to Jesus we don’t have to worry about anything but to pray and continuously give thanks because His peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. See Jesus can take all those past hurts, disappoints and circumstances you had and turn them into something meaningful and beautiful only if you give it to him.
Did you know that Jesus does not expect us to solve our problems, or to be perfect or trouble free; but he does expect us to turn to Him and bring or distresses to him and let Him deal with them. Things happen in our lives some good and some bad but some can be just so messy, but that’s where God will meet us. In those places when our feelings are inadequate, with doubt in our mind, in sadness, hurt, confusion, depression or whatever the situation may be just remember God is waiting. It is His strength that works in our weaknesses. It is His vision that will clear the path for us. It is His grace that will cleanse us, if we just give it to Him.
2 Corithians 12:9-10 (9) My grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weaknesses. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (10) That is why, for Christ’s sake I, delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties for when I an weak, then I am strong.
So, whatever the problem is I encourage you to give it to Jesus. He already carried all our problems, troubles and messes to the cross. Once you give to Him you will find the peace that surpasses all understanding. Jesus we thank you for being our burden bearer. When we are at our dead end; you give us a bright future. GIVE IT TO JESUS!!!
