Imagine there are 3 people that are trying to play the same game, one has on football equipment, one has on baseball equipment, and the other has on hockey equipment and they all come to play “ball”.
How do they determine what “ball” they play? Who gives the direction and explain the rules?
The bible (God’s word and not our own thoughts) unifies the type of field or sport that will be played, it will allow us to know the type of equipment we need in order to play the game. The Holy Spirit instructs us on the rules and guidelines and gives us instructions on how to execute the plays (life).
We have to listen to the instructions that the Holy Spirit gives us. Knowing the instructions and how to maneuver in life, is what helps us win the game and get the victory!
Whose instructions are you following if you show up to a football game wearing ice skates?
