Obeying the Holy Spirit By: Acasia George

Matthew 16:2-3 says, “He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypoctites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the sign of the times?

Often times we ask God, “God send me a sign if this is something I am supposed to do.” Sometimes he replies with a sign, other times He makes us wait until the timing is right. But what we fail to realize is, sometimes He wants us to Obey the Holy Spirit even if we do not receive a sign. Within this scripture, He is telling us that we can discern a face but we cannot discern a sign during the times when needed. Why ask God for a sign when we cannot even discern if it is a sign from Him instead of man? Obeying the Holy Spirit comes with certain things that we as Christians must do, such as being keen to the Holy Spirit and knowing how to discern things. So ask yourself, “How can I obey the Obey the Holy Spirit if I cannot discern a sign from God?”
