A Good Root System...By Kenya Cannon

The root system of any plant is what causes it to survive in tough times. The roots are what feed the plant, but also what helps it stay balanced and upright. When storms come and trials shift the surrounding environment, if the roots are strong the plant is likely to stand against the wind and rain. However, if the roots are young and weak, it's very likely that the plant won't survive any storm.

I said that to say this...Get rooted in a place, small group, circle of friends, ministry that has nutrients for your spirit not your flesh. A "tickle your ear" word lasts until you hit the door exiting the sanctuary or presence of those you are with! God is trying to give us a new permanent foundation in his presence and Kingdom. He wants to make sure we are solidified in him and you can be depended on. Being a root means not only bearing weight, but also transporting key ingredients to that which you are supporting (life).

Being a root means being a willing participant. When we said Yes and accepted that God's Will takes precedence, we really told God that we would root ourselves in His word to be immovable. God is shifting and changing things swiftly so His Kingdom can be seen and glorified by those who have said YES, and even more so for those who said yes but may have lost their way. He is calling us ALL back to Him and being rooted is key. 

As He shifts the way we think, hear and even see Him, we have to remain steadfast because he is now doing in Earth what happens in heaven, but on a quicker pace. We have to be sure what we are speaking is truth, what we're rooted in is maturity, and what we spread is faith. All of which are important in God's Root System.
