When we give, God makes sure we have a enough, so he blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. If God asks us to let something go, it's because He has something better for us. God will not withhold anything that is better for us- (Psalms 84:11).
That's just how life works- if we want to be blessed, you first have to be a blessing to others. And if you want to be happy, make others happy.
Above all, giving helps us to be more like God and Christ. The more we give the more we become more like our Father in Heaven.
We develop the Godly way that Christ wants us to be.
Luke 6:38
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.””
