United We Stand, Divided We Fall By Sharon Foreman

We have heard the phrase: United We Stand, Divided We Fall, but to say the least, that is so true! We at Lighthouse Ministries have been challenged to spread the word, do the word, and live the word- UNITY.   We all have family members that take us to a place where we don't want to be around or bothered with them, but we must remember that we can choose our friends, but not our family.  We were all chosen by God, and we are tied to his family as we stand on his word learning how to Unite.

A great example was given in Sunday service,  as to what can happen being tied /knitted together as a family(naturally), and the whole body of Christ- is that no one can break through the tight knit. We have to be like the 3-Cord Strand in Ecclesiastes 4:12, not easily (quickly) broken.  There are many words we can find in UNITY that refers to being together; Unite, Tied, (k)nit and Unit, these words are powerful and can do great things.  Therefore,
we have to stand strong and yoke together to be the force we can be, by unifying.
When we see Unity, we see 5 letters that can represent many things to many people, but for me--
U: stands for Understanding that each of us has a part to do to keep Unity....
N: stands for Need- we've heard we need each other to survive and live in peace,
I: stands for Individual- each individual have something to offer to help keep the unit together.
T: is for Tears- those that we shed for our selves and others just to stay.   And last but least,
Y: is for Yet- that we still Yet have time to become our brother/sisters keeper, by Uniting, knitting, tying ourselves together, to keep us from falling.
So in thinking on Unity, think on Jesus Christ whom is UNITY.
