"For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

 

When I think of Christmas, I think about family coming home, smell of fruits on the table, love and kindness from family and friends, decorations in the yards and on the homes; but most of all, I think about Jesus!  It’s a tradition that we give gifts but the best and first gift of Christmas was born unto a Virgin Mary.  He’s the gift that keeps on giving! We can wear out shoes, clothes, a car, perfume, jewelry, hair-dos, makeup and money, BUT, Jesus, will never wear out.  He will always be a Gift that we can go to at any time.

 

I was watching a movie where the Dad was working odd and end jobs to provide for his family.  He didn’t have enough money to buy a gift for his daughter at Christmas time,  so he wrote them a song.  The reason he wrote them a song was because he said maybe one day they will remember the words to the song and they will smile from knowing even after years have passed, that, their Dad gave them a gift that keeps on giving.  That’s how Jesus is with us. He constantly gives us even when we aren’t thinking about it.  He always provides, shelters, loves, and breathes new life within us.  So this Christmas and forevermore, let’s give the gift that keeps on giving, give Jesus.  Our lives will always be rich because we have the most precious gift.  Happy Holidays and Love you all!
